Japanese Champleve Brass Vase with Side Handles Now Electrified

About the Item

A Japanese brass champleve vase of baluster form with 2 handles decorated overall with stylized peacocks and butterflies in tones of blue and red now electrified and fitted as a lamp resting on a wooden base. Champleve is a process of filling hollows in metal work with enamel in various colors which is then fired. This lamp is fitted with a custom shade. Vase circa 1920.
