Large Scale 20th Century Persian Lacquerware Table Lamp
About the Item
c. 1950s, large scale gourd-form coir lamp hand decorated with gazelles, lions, and hunters on horseback on green ground, brass fittings. The painting is accentuated with gold painted elements. The heft and decoration of this stunning lamp make for a strong visual impact. Part sculpture, part lamp, this is a beautiful piece.
Dimensions:
19" height x 20" wide x 14" diameter (base), 30" height (to finial)
Condition.
Good, no chips, cracks or repairs observed. Small puncture to body (see photograph). Has been rewired by The Lamp Shop, Summit, NJ. Highly decorative. Ready to place.
