Maison Arlus, black lacquered wooden Lamp from the 50´s
About the Item
Rare Arlus black lacquered wood lamp. A cubic black lacquered wooden base supports a small square brass pedestal onto which an elongated form of the same material is fixed. A rectangular thick glass lampshade engraved with wave motifs fits into the graphic shape. Crafted in the 1950s-1960s. In good overall condition. Height: 78 cm.
In good preservation condition. 100% original state. Normal vintage patina for age. Beautiful vintage presentation condition. Original electricity tested. ok. Superb Modernist Ensemble.
Arlus was a French lighting manufacturer, highly active since the 1950s and closely associated with the modern design movement. The company was headquartered in Paris's 11th arrondissement, with its showroom in the 17th arrondissement. The manufacturer offered over 300 unique classic or modern models. The lighting fixtures were of high quality at an affordable price thanks to a single price system. Arlus also provided technical and artistic services to guide and personalize clients' choices.
