Maison Charles Attributed Pair of Tall Ostrich Egg and Brass French Table Lamps
About the Item
Maison Charles attributed midcentury vintage pair of French gilt bronze neoclassical lamps centered on ostrich eggs. Stunning craftsmanship with beautifully cast brass elements, the palm leaf details above the powder blue eggs, the acorn final on the lampshade holder, the neoclassical style darting on the bands and legs and the cloven goat hoof feet which sit upon the solid cast brass base. These most beautifully opulent and decadent large table lamps are, unfortunately, not signed with the usual 'Charles - made in France' or 'Charles e fils' stamps. However, we do believe that these were made by Maison Charles based on the components used, their quality and construction.
Each lamp requires two E27/E26 Edison style lightbulbs at 60 Watts each max.
