Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Marble and Ormolu Mounted Lamp
About the Item
An elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. marble and ormolu mounted lamps. Each lamp is raised by fine floral topie shaped ormolu feet. The square Greek Antique Green marble base is decorated with a beaded ormolu band while the socle pedestal displays richly chased berried laurel and acanthus leaf designs. At the Greek Antique Green marble body are wonderful rich detailed scrolled handles with floral accents in a satin and burnished finish. At the neck are decorative ormolu bands with foliate patterns.
