Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ormolu and Tole Bouilotte Lamps
About the Item
A most elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and tole Bouillotte lamps. Each lamp is raised by a beautiful and wonderfully executed pierced bowl with a lovely lattice like design and beaded border. The circular fluted central supports lead up to fine arrows below the scrolled arms each adorned with richly chased acanthus leaves and decorated with foliate bobeches and candle cups. Each lamp retains its original tole shade which can be adjusted by unscrewing the fletchings of the striking arrows above.
