A pair of Gibigiana lamps, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1980.
Enameld steal and aluminium, plastic. Manufactured by Flos in the early to mid 1980ies.
Wonderful pair of Gibigiana lamps in small (42 cm) and large (52 cm) version.
As often with Achile Castiglioni’s design there’s a playfully idea how he came about the design of this lamp series. The design reflects on the Milan kids play called „Gibigiana“. Using a piece of glass or mirror reflecting a ray of sun on their friends.
The lamp´s rotateable mirror reflects the halogen light onto a differnt point, creating a spot light. Perfectly to be used as a reading lamp on your bedside table, or to have just a very small spot of light, where you need it.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. One lamps mirror (made from polished metal) has a small dent, but is fully functional. Otherwise some fading in colour of plastic parts. minor scratches.
