About the Item
You have to take the time to look at it to truly savor its delicacy. Made entirely of pine, it shines once lit. As a lampshade, finely sliced wood stretched around the lamp, finishing fixed with small nails. The whole thing is then suspended above a massive, rounded foot.
When it lights up, the wood shows like a glow of wood fire through its rings and diffuses a soothing luminosity from above and below.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson hated dazzling light, he was even nicknamed the “master of subdued light”. The latter will draw his ideas and materials from nature to create nearly 2000 original lighting fixtures. He will also work with brass and glass to create ever more refined creations.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
