T114 19th Century Green Art Glass Oil Lamp
About the Item
Green art glass lamp. Burner is marked “Manhattan Brass Co.” Body and shade are a frosted green blown art glass with hand painted silver flowers. Sleek Art nouveau profile, the glass base tapers to a round base. The matching shade is a domed shape. Complete with burner and chimney. Very good condition, some chips in the base as shown, and silver paint has some wear. This miniature size oil lamp was often used as a night lamp, giving low light at night, similar to a night light. Late 19th century.
