About the Item
'Moon Mirror' by Soo Joo is a wooden wall mirror with a timeless and asymmetric form. Moon Mirror is hung with a custom-made steel french cleat and hangs flush on the wall. This is the slightly larger version, at 95 x 55 cm in size.
This mirror silhouette is minimal but dynamic nature. The undulating thin and thick frame creates a timeless and poetic flow. The form is based on a monoprint artwork that motion-tracks the artist's body in momentive movement. The designer creatively re-imagines the essence of traditional Korean aesthetics into a modern context in this piece. Her intuitive eye for novel forms and her sensitivity to detail come from her background in fine art.
