END OF THE 18th CENTURY GOLDEN MIRROR WITH CARYATIDS
About the Item
Beautiful and elegant mirror in carved wood and gilded tablet with pure gold leaf. The frame is decorated with elegant vegetal motifs on the sides and in the lower part, while in the upper part it has an architectural bracket-like termination supported by two caryatids. The cymatium is also embellished with vases, plumes and vegetal garlands, while in the center there is an anthropomorphic figure. The reference to classical taste is evident, typical of the neoclassical style. Finally, the mirror is contemporary with the frame. This refined mirror is ascribed to neoclassical Piedmontese manufacturing from the end of the 18th century, and is able to add taste and refinement to any environment.
