A gold, vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian full Size floor mirror made of handcrafted gilded wrought iron with its original mirrored glass, designed by Pier Luigi Colli in very good condition. The oval wall mirror is composed with a console table detailed by a thick etched "verde nilo" green glass top. The mirror is enhanced by floral decoration and soft ornamental lines. circa 1948 - 1958, Torino, Italy. Its original mirror has been refitted the most professional way ( see photos) - all parts have been accurately cleaned. measurements: total : height: 214 cm (84,5") ~ width: 106cm 42" depth: 35.5 cm (14") I:I mirror only: 165cm x 80cm Pier Luigi Colli was an Italian artist and designer, born in 1895, in Turin and passed away in 1968, Italy. Colli also studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. After his studies, he returned to Italy, where he started working in the family furniture business reforming the business by importing Art Deco lamps designed by Jean Perzel and glass objects of Lalique - later in the late 1940s early 1950s gilded iron furniture and mirrors were added in their portfolio. Most of his pieces are representing the Parisian, Art Deco period, style. Colli often used very combined materials such as iron, brass, glass and wood. The company worked together with well known architects and designers, such as Gio Ponti, Giovanni Gariboldi, Carlo Mollino, Domenico Morelli and others. In 1980, the company was closed, making the furniture highly sought after. The traditional furniture maker COLLI established in 1850 has ever since produced artful luxury quality furniture at highest standards - specially in their early days and in the Art Nouveau Era.
