French Provencal green and gilt wood mirror
About the Item
Spectacular French mirror in the Louis XV Provençal style, 18th century.
With a mixteline profile in polychrome wood in a soft French green and golden profiles, already swept by time.
With a cornucopia in carved and polychrome wood representing an important Medicis vase with an important open flower, following a symbolist and refined aesthetic.
The French Provencal style began its journey and development in the 18th century, following the premises of the sophisticated and rich Louis XV style but adapting it to the large mansions of the French countryside where the aristocracy and later bourgeoisie of the moment, recreated a warm, welcoming and colorful setting With polychrome wood, floral fabrics, mirrors and an endless number of decorative and evocative objects of nature, it became a romantic break from the ostentatious palatial life of the court.
This mirror is really special and highly decorative, it provides
quality and personality in any space where it is located!!!
And it is original from the time, quite difficult to find in the art and antiques market.
