Large French 19th Century Overmantel
About the Item
A large French overmantel gilt gesso mirror with an arched scroll pediment. The frame is decorated with bound laurel and rope twist mouldings, edged with fine beading. There is a fragment of a manufacturer's label to the verso, which dates the mirror to September 12th, 1876. The silvered plate is original.
