Late 19th Century French Regency Style Gilt Wood Mirror with Beveled Glass

About the Item

Originally hung above a mantel in France, this late nineteenth century French Regency style gilt wood and painted mirror features a central flourish at the crown with a Louis XVI crossed quiver and torch with bow below. The frame surrounding its beveled mercury glass mirror is additionally detailed with an egg and dart motif as well as scrolling and an inner border of beading. Standing at 60 inches in height and with its naturally aged patina, this mirror is sure to make a statement in any interior, c. 1890.
