Art Nouveau Bronze Standing Mirror, Villiers & Picart Co. Paris
About the Item
A circa 1900 solid bronze standing mirror made by the Villiers and Picard Company, Ateliers Modernes D'Etalages. Company still in business today as A.M.E. Incredible Art Nouveau fretwork design in the base. Beveled mirror is not original and has one small 1/4" scratch. This was most likely a store display. Company mark on the underside of the base. Mirror stands and 19.5" wide and 35" high. The base is 6.5" in diameter. Great condition, with expected wear and patina to the metal, and very slight bending to the stem.
