Midcentury Bevelled Table Mirror in Silvered Metal Frame for Make Up and Jewelry
About the Item
Rare, good looking and practical table mirror.
From a local silver and jewelry dealer who is retiring we acquired this wonderful and highly practical table mirror. Thousands of people have looked into this mirror to see if the jewelry they wanted to buy would look good on them. We usually don't polish silver or silvered items, but because of the beautiful shape and motifs in this rare mirror we decided otherwise. It now looks as though it were new again (also because of the more than excellent condition). There is a maker's mark W pressed into the side of the circular base (see image 8), but unfortunately we don't know who the maker was.
For safe shipping/transport the mirror can be screwed off and this table mirror stands firm, because a solid metal 'counterweight' was (originally) screwed into the base. The original felt prevents this metal table mirror from leaving scratches on your table, dresser or wherever you would like to place this practical beauty.

Diameter of the bevelled mirror: 8.4 inches.
Diameter of the base: 4.7 inches.
