19th Century French Louis Philippe Two-Tone Gilt and Blackened Wall Mirror
About the Item
Decorate a powder room or a bedroom with this elegant antique blackened and gilt wall mirror. Crafted in northern France circa 1870, the blackened and gold leaf frame is decorated with hand carved repousse foliage motifs further embellished with bead decor around the frame. The wall hanging piece is dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing. The Louis Philippe mirror is in excellent condition and adorns a rich two-tone black and gold leaf patinated finish. A wonderful size for a hallway, bedroom or over a mantel. New wire in the back for easy handling and installation.
