A stunning antique Italian Neoclassical Revival giltwood wall mirror / fireplace mantle mirror. circa 1900
Late 19th / early 20th century, exceptionally executed architectural window curtain frame shaped mirror, having a sculptural gilt painted wooden frame depicting rope-tied swag drapery with pierced ribbons, encasing flat mirror plate, over rectangular base embellished in fiolate incised detailing. Wire across the back for wall hanging / overmantle mounting.

Condition Report:
Good original antique condition with beautifully aged warm rustic distressed patina. Retaining original antique character and charm throughout, wear consistent with age and use, including scattered minor chippy paint losses and old touchups, dark fingerprint marks and age spots to original mirror plate, nothing that detracts from the aesthetics or functionality but only adds to the sophisticated character, elegant rustic warmth, and rich historical depth that can only be acquired over long periods of time!
