Art Nouveau Wood & Metal Mantle Wall Mirror Glass Embossed Repousse Antique CA . A superb handcrafted late 19th century period antique mirror with original glass . Embossed Artwork to decorate your interior from the Romantic period of the Art Nouveau.
Pewter or tin (and or metal) embossed a visual delight, boasting intricate repoussé decoration. At its pinnacle representation of the fauna and Flora , symbolizing Nature and Harmony characteristic themes of the Art Nouveau movement. The surrounding embossing of the flowers and plants gracefully enhance the composition. creating a piece that is both artistically pleasing and symbolically rich.

Repousse Metal Wall Mirrors Elegant French antique mercury mirror metal embossed ornamentation. decorated with intricate repousse decor . The center mirror features the original mercury glass with losses. The raised designs were handcrafted using a technique known as “Repoussé” in which the metal was shaped by hammering from the reverse side, creating decorative elements in low relief when viewed from the front. decorative artwork that can be placed in any room of the house.
