Chinese Mirror Frame
About the Item
This gilt-and-lacquer carved wooden mirror is actually part of an old interior wall in a Chinese mansion. It is carved with auspicious symbols and restored with a French polish finish. The mirror glass is new but the old frame probably dates to about 1900. It is from Zhejiang, China, near Shanghai.
