Huge Jansen Style Brass, Nickel & Copper Wall Mirror by Vereinigte Werkstätten
About the Item
Stunning, large and very rare square midcentury brass, brushed patinated copper & gunmetal wall-mounted / hung vanity or hallway mirror by the Vereinigte Werkstätten (United Ateliers), Germany, circa 1960-1980. Often mis-attributed to the French design house Maison Charles or Maison Jansen and it is easy to see why as the design and build quality is equal to that of those companies. Perfect for the Hollywood Regency style, there is no better combination than gold colour of aged brass with brushed copper and gunmetal for the opulent, decadent and luxurious look of the style. This mirror would pair well with tables by Karl Springer, Willy Daro or Paul Evans for example.
