Italian Early 19th Century Louis XVI Style Patinated and Giltwood Mirror
About the Item
A most impressive and monumentally scaled Italian early 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated and giltwood mirror. The central mirror plate is fitted within a beautiful and most decorative mottled and beaded giltwood band. The patinated and giltwood frame displays lovely foliate carvings with scrolled geometric designs, fine giltwood fillets and striking mottled rosettes at each corner. A fine foliate band also extends throughout the border of the frame. All original gilt and patina throughout.
