Italian, Toscana, Louis XIV Style Carved Giltwood Mirror, 18th Century
About the Item
This rare frame is of rectangular form with an arched top, the top and sides surmounted by angel masks, leaf and floral forms, scrolls and a shell-form finial, the sides and bottom are adorned with scrollwork and stylized shell-form carved feet, the frame retains two antique mirror plates, defects, losses and restorations.
