Mid-19th Century, French Napoleon III Carved Gold Leaf Wall Mirror
About the Item
Decorate an entry or a bedroom with this elegant antique mirror. Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1860, the rectangular mirror has traditional, timeless lines with an elegant arched top. The carved frame is decorated with a luxurious gold leaf finish over geometric pattern decor in high relief; it has its original mercury glass and wood backing. The classic wall piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich and bright patinated gilt finish. New wire has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. The Napoleon III style mirror could be added to a number of rooms in your home for a traditional French style, including over a mantel or in a powder room between a pair of sconces.
