About the Item
A stunning and unique pair of Italian turn of the century Églomisé and Lacca Povera mirrors. These beautiful rectangular mirrors are decorated by several red twisted glass bands throughout. Bordering the central mirror plate are highly detailed red painted glass panels which are decorated with multiple images such as decorated urns, Asian male and female figures, colorful butterflies, and floral designs with multiple species of birds. This extensive collection of rich images is finished with an extremely decorative technique called Lacca Povera. In each corner of the Lacca Povera finished bands are small individual Bronze acanthus leaves. All original patina and mirror plates throughout.
