Palatial Italian 19th Century Baroque Style Giltwood Carved Florentine Mirror
About the Item
A fine Palatial Italian, 19th century baroque style vigorously carved Florentine giltwood mirror frame. The ornately carved frame with scrolls, acanthus, fruits and floral design, fitted with a later beveled mirror plate. All gilding is 24-carat gold leaf. Florence, circa 1880.

- Condition:Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. A truly beautiful and very impressive mirror frame. Recently cleaned and restored, some recent gilt restorations. Minor age splits on frame. The mirror plate is beveled and has a small scratch.
