19th C. French Gilt-Wood Customized Queen Sleigh Bed with Mattress, David Easton
About the Item
A 19th Century French Gilt-wood Queen Size Headboard and footboard together with later side rails and customized cut out platform and mattress made by Charles H Beckley. In 1997, the noted Interior Designer, David Easton, sourced the antique head and footboard and designed the customized mattress and side rails to match. Headboard is upholstered in an elegant taupe colored silk velvet fabric. Charles Beckley mattresses are made at a high standard out of lambswool and other natural materials. Condition: Good overall stable condition. Losses to gilt-wood throughout frame, loose flakey gilt paint in some spots, mattress shows stains, fading and missing tufts. Mattress is sold with frame unless otherwise indicated by buyer.
