American 19th Century Ornate Brass Double Bed
About the Item
American 19th century ornate brass double bed circa 1880.
Standard double size, with a mattress area of 55" x 76"
Stunning example of a American Victorian period brass bed which is amoung the most superior beds of its kind.
The bed frame comprises of 4 sections, with the head and foot end's, complete with the 2 side rails. We have just had a brand new duvan made which also comes with the bed.
Frame is made from thick and narrow brass tubing with turned finial decorations and junctions. Each corner is decorated with a cast face, with acanthus leaf detailing and decorative colours. Each leg standing on brass castors.
The bed has just been fully restored by a professional bed company, and is secure and sturdy. Original patina.
