Fantastic Genuine Gilt French Louis XVI Tall Upholstered Full Double Size Bed

About the Item

This is a special form of bed that is perfect for some people who demand the best in French beds. The original distressed finish features genuine time-worn gold leaf over a red clay Italian bole ground and will show signs of age and wear. The upholstery is used so while it may not be perfect it is in usable condition. The carvings of Corinthian columns and fluted floral acanthus leaves add detail and visual interest while remaining visually light. Measures 78 long x 61 wide x 55.5 wide and interior dimensions are 76.5 long x 61 wide. It is your responsibility to measure and make sure your mattress will fit as it is French and may differ from American standard measurements. Slats are available at Home depot and not provided. Dates to the 1930s era.
