English 1800s Georgian Period Plum Wood Child's Rocking Chair with Rush Seat

An English Georgian period plum wood child's rocking chair from the early 19th century, with rush seat, ladder back and turned base. Born in the very early years of the 19th century, this petite Georgian child's rocking chair features a straight ladder back. Two open arms imitating bamboo, rest on turned supports. The rectangular rush seat is connected to a turned base with side stretchers of varying heights. With its petite dimensions, rustic feel and lovely plum wood patina, this rocking chair circa 1800 will add a charming decorative touch to any child's room.
