Complete in twenty volumes.
The complete works of George Orwell, containing both his fiction and non-fiction writings, a brilliant and sought after set of the works of one of the most important writers of the twentieth century.
Orwell describes all of his writing from 1936 onwards as being against totalitarianism, and for democratic socialism. He is often described as being one of the best chroniclers of English culture in the twentieth century.
Each volume is in their original unclipped dust wrapper.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, fine. Dust wrapps with some very minor edge wear, and a little sunning to the spines. Very small closed tear to the head of the rear fly leaf of Volume X and to the tail of the rear wrap of Volumes XVIII and XIX. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
