8 Volumes. William Shakespeare, The Plays of Shakespeare. Bound in full tan calf with covers displaying gilt bordering. Raised band spine with panels displaying beautiful gilt detailing and labels in black with gilt lettering. All edges are marbled with marbled endpapers. Accurately printed from the text of the corrected copies left by the late George Steevens, Esq. and Edmond Masone, Esq. with Mr. Malone's various Readings. A selection of explanatory and historical notes from the most eminent commentators. A history of the stage and the life of Shakespeare by Alexander Chalmers, F.S.A. Published by A. Spottiswoode in London, 1837.

The very scarce complete 1813 twenty-one volume edition of the plays of Shakespeare.
