Collection Lescure Extremely Rare Portfolios About Lace

Extremely rare set of two complete portfolios consecrated to the Lescure collection.
The portfolio titled "Mouchoirs brodés" is complete with the 40 plates depicting embroidered handkerchiefs from the middle of the 19th century.

The portfolio titled "Barbes" is complete with the 40 plates depicting embroidered Barbes from the 18th century.
The barbes were the embroidered pieces that ladies used in their hair or on bottom of masks.

Covers are in very good condition, some marks and stains and some black strings are broken.
The plates are in very good condition, some minor marks, discolorations, and damages on the edges. one plate has a small tear.
Rare to find these portfolios complete with all the plates.
