About the Item
A book on one of the 20th centuries greatest metalsmiths. Brandt was one of an extraordinary group of artist-craftsmen which included people such as Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Jean Puiforcat, Jean Dunand to name but a few who were the leaders during a period of great achievement in French Decorative Arts. What became known as Art Deco - after the 1925 Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, where Brandt exhibited numerous gates, doors, tables and other pieces which dazzled visitors from all-over the world. 240 pages, text in English with 232 illustrations, including 60 plates in full color.
