Boundary-pushing photographer and 'rephotographer' Richard Prince released this photobook and exhibition catalogue in 2000 to accompany a show at MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles and Vienna. Combining images he took of upstate New York in the mid-to-late nineties and appropriated images, and placing them alongside studio images of his 'Joke Paintings', Prince explores an aesthetic of basketball hoops, biker parties, tire planters and storage facilities, collapsing fiction and non-fiction with intimacy and ambiguity. A classic artist's book from one of the seminal members of the 'Pictures Generation'.
