James Bond: In the Cinema by John Brosnan (Book)

About the Item

By Australian novelist and journalist John Brosnan, who was a regular columnist with the popular UK film magazine Starburst. Opening with a short chapter which analyses the great popularity of the Bond movie franchise, Brosnan then dedicates the next seven chapters to the first seven films of this series, from 1962's Dr No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and 1971's Diamonds are Forever (which was to be Sean Connery's final outing as Bond). Each chapter describes, in detail, virtually every sequence of these films, along with explanations how various moments & effects were achieved. The book is illustrated throughout with over 100 stills from the films and has a psychedelic dust jacket designed by Stefan Dreja.
