Paktong: The Non-Tarnishable Chinese 'Silver' Alloy Used for 'Adam' Firegrates and Early Georgian Candlesticks by W. D. John and Katherine Coombes, 1/500, Signed by Both Authors. Ceramic Book Company, Newport, England, 1970. 25pp + one color and 50pp of b&w plates. A beautifully produced book with robins egg blue leatherette cover, with bright gilt-titling and bordering along the front and back covers. Devoted to Paktong, covering Tutenag, Firegrates and Fenders, Candlesticks and Robert Adam's use of this alloy. Highly informative with beautiful plates. Accompanied by a letter from Michael Roberts, (an English Jewelry dealer), further explaining the process and its use on cut steel jewelry and objects by Mathew Boulton.
