Voyage to the Cape of Good Hope, First Edition, c1785

About the Item

Voyage to the Cape of Good Hope, towards the Antarctic polar circle, and round the world, but chiefly into the country of the Caffres, from the year 1772 to 1776 by Anders Sparrman, Dublin, White, Cash and Byrne, 1785, first edition leather bound hardcover. Complete with ten plates and large fold-out map. The author went to the cape with the royal east India company in 1772. He was invited to join Capt. Cook's expedition on the resolution and sailed with him until 1775. NPT Books, a division of N.P.
