Art Deco French Chrome & Enamel Ladies Powder Compact, C1930s

About the Item

This is a really cute and rare find, a 1930's Art Deco compact with the most delightful green and black enamel decoration on a chrome casing . The interior is an engineers delight with a sliding latch on the side of the compact to secure the power in place. Upon opening the lid reveals the mechanics that operates and reveals a powder dispenser. The back of the compact is engine turned and in awesome condition, free from tarnishing and pitting . The condition is very good and way above average with only very minor signs of ageing, a true delight for any Deco fan or collectors of compacts . Patent number and makers name are impressed on the sides of the compact HARMELLE PARIS, France.
