VINTAGE GRADUATED SAN-MARCO CHOKER NECKLACE WITH FLORENTINE FINISH By Carlo Weingrill, Italy circa 1960-80 Item # 109QJS24D A sophisticated choker necklace by the Italian jeweler Carlo Weingrill, this incredibly refined piece features a graduated San-Marco link with a crisp Florentine finish over all visible surfaces and a bright finish on the back. The necklace is released with an invisible press-button that operates the sprung tongue clasp, this further secured with a swinging safety clasp. Note the very fine hand fabrication of all elements and the sturdy invisible pins that allow the individual links to lightly rotate for comfort. The firm of Carlo Weingrill has produced pieces of breathtaking quality since they were founded in 1879. From Bvlgari's iconic tubogas to the many creations they made for Tiffany & Co, Weingrill goldsmiths have consistently been trusted to produce exquisite designs for Italy's top jewelry houses.
