19th C Antique Chess Set Game Regency Shape with 96mm Kings in Pine Lidded Box
About the Item
This is a very good and complete handmade, hardwood chess set game of 32 pieces in a handmade pine box with a sliding lid, which we date to the turn of the 19th Century, Circa 1900.
The chess set is complete with 32 handmade and turned hardwood pieces, ( probably made of boxwood) all in the Regency shape or French Regence style. Knights are 90mm high
Pawns are 48 mm high (about 1~11/16 inches)
