Antique American Newspaper Cart Great as a Novelty Magazine Stand & Drinks Table

About the Item

Amazingly authentic, American cart for distributing newspapers. This could very well be this weeks best antique for interior designers in the Anglo American world. This is a real antique American cart that was used by newspaper boys in the streets of Philadelphia in the early 1900's. We found it in a mansion in The Hague, Holland and judging from the bottles that were in the cart, it had been used as a drinks table. A movable drinks table mind you, because this 1910's or 1920's American made cart can still (and easily) be pulled around and it still runs remarkably smooth. Former owners took real good care of this hand-crafted, quality made and rare antique, because it is in excellent condition. The all-original, red painted oak wire wheels with hand forged iron hoops are just some of the wonderful elements on this totally original and excellent condition eye-catcher. The brand name 'The Evening Bulletin' is burned into both sides of this trolley and we learned that this was a Philadelphian newspaper.
