Early 20th Century Synagogue Wall Tile

About the Item

A pressed stone tile saved from a synagogue in Poland. Pressed in the blue into the center of the tile is the Star of David, surrounded by a circle and framed by blue lines. The uneven nature of the lines testifies to the unique press method by which the tiles were made, while the blue and ecru colors speak to the national color of the emerging Zionist movement at the time. Every item in Menorah Galleries is accompanied by a lifetime “Certificate of Authenticity” and additional documentation and information regarding the individual artifact and its culture.
