Rare, large and stunning bronze bust of Holland's most famous painter. When we first saw this truly large, great looking and very well made bronze sculpture of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606-1669) we immediately knew we had to have it. Also, because bronze sculptures of Rembrandt really are a rare find. We have searched the worldwide web and we learned that there is not another one of this large bronze busts to be found anywhere in the world. Judging from the material, the patina and the way it was hand-crafted we date this work of art to 1960-1980 and this bust must have been made for either a private collector, an art institution/museum or perhaps for the owner of a gallery.
