About the Item

Gerard Bignolais was a French sculptor and artist, 1937-2007. He mostly worked on sculptures of human bodies illustrating life at it's raw form. In this 2007 limited edition are basel box entitled plages 115, it is an interactive installation of "miniature paper and mixed-media clothes not only for the beach/plages and also for a ladies traveling wardrobe. It transcends time and place. He illustrated people, family and life in this mixed-media piece. The edition is 188/400. It comes with all the descriptive papers all in French. It comes in a box that opens up like a traveling wardrobe suitcase with miniature lock and keys. All the clothes hand on two doll racks on either side.

It has been recently custom museum quality reframed with a gold leaf frame with red clay under rub and silk mat.
