Large Vintage Cast Metal Decorative or Toy Colonial Canon Model
About the Item
This large cast metal canon shows no maker's marks, but is presumed to have been made in the United States in circa 1965 in a Colonial Revival style. This model canon is composed of four parts; the frame, the barrel and two wheels. The wheels are held to the frame with small cotter pins and turn, and the cannon barrel pivots slightly up and down on the frame. This is a large and heavy cast toy or decorative model and will not fire a projectile. The entire canon has been painted black which shows some wear as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
