Mini Chinese Moon Bed, Wenge Wood Model
About the Item
Beautiful miniature, finely carved model is the exact replica of a Chinese traditional moon bed. The bed is decorated on all sides by carved panels in an intricate pierced pattern. The moon entrance is dramatic and very romantic. The top of the bed has fixed stretchers that are exactly the same as the real, full size bed. They are used to hang canopies. Made with the prized wenge wood, this small yet exquisite piece is a fantastic objet d'art. Wenge is highly prized for its density and swirling grain pattern.
