Antique Pewter Yachting Trophy, MHBYC 1900
About the Item
This pewter trophy was awarded to the Yacht Mistral for a win in the Manhassett Bay Yacht Club Fall Regatta in 1900. The prestigious MBYC was founded in 1891 and is still an active club today. The cup is in the traditional loving cup form and featured the original applied club medallion with an enamelled burgee. It was made by Reed and Barton and is marked on the underside. The condition is generally good with minor dents in the base.
