Antique silvered wall font with original and excellent condition glass vessel.
This rare Jugendstil wall font by German makers WMF is in excellent condition and it even comes with the original glass vessel. To make the marvelous image of Mary and the young Christ (holding the orb) stand out even more, we have slightly polished the back plate. Just like the other Christan symbols in this wonderful water font, the image of Mary and her child too are embossed. The beautifully flowing lines that make up the frame in which they are portrait also are an absolute joy to look at and they too will never fail to impress. The cranberry-like vessel has absolutely no chips or cracks, but only some superficial scratches and some lime staining from the water that was kept inside. If you are looking for a rare, beautiful and meaningful gift for yourself or a loved one then this rare WMF work of religious art could be perfect.
